Do you know what is one of the most feared topics in the beauty and modeling industry is? Yup, you got it right luxers, it's age. Aging is a pretty scary thing if you think about it. It will affect you in so many ways. Simple things like putting on your make up might take longer because of age. Getting things done might be slower because of age. Most of the famous celebrities and models invest so much on anti-aging skincare in their early twenties because, in time to come when they reach their forties and fifties, it will totally pay off.

Anti-aging skincare is a prevalent concept in recent years. These days everyone wants to hide their age using anti-aging skincare procedures and several people are successful in doing so. Unfortunately, anti-aging skincare is not achieved by any magic potion. Anti-aging skincare is about discipline. It is about being proactive. Anti-aging skincare is retarding the aging process. Here are a couple of tips for proactive anti-aging skincare for you luxers that we totally recommend:

 

  1. Maintaining healthy eating habits: A well-balanced diet is the key to maintaining a healthy body metabolism. You can do so by eating a lot of fruits and raw vegetables, they are the best source of fiber and have a very refreshing and replenishing effect on your body. On the other hand, avoid oily and fatty food such as fried chicken, steaks, etc. Not only do they lack in essential nutrients but also cause obesity and other diseases which aid the aging process.
  2. Stop using skincare products that sting or burn. Did you know that when your skin burns or stings, it means your skin is irritated? Irritating your skin can make it look older, so stop using those skincare products and get something that's more suited for your skin type.
  3. Exercising regularly is also an excellent anti-aging skincare procedure. Apart from toning your muscles, it also helps in cleansing the skin by flushing out the toxins in the form of sweat. Protip: Exercise should be followed by a warm shower in order to remove the toxins altogether.
  4. Overcoming your stress levels. Well, this is probably one of the most essential anti-aging skincare measures that you need to implement. Stress disturbs the body's metabolism and accelerates the aging process. Therefore, having a good sleep, exercising regularly, and getting a relaxing bath are all good ways of beating stress. Not to mention, aroma-therapy is also known to bust stress.
  5. Drinking a lot of water: This is literally the most straightforward anti-aging skincare routine that you can follow. Why is this beneficial? Water aids in flushing out the toxins from the body, hence keeping it clean and making it less prone to disease. All doctors recommend around eight glasses of water per day.

  7. Overusing Skincare Products. This is pretty obvious, isn't it? Excessive and harsh application is really harmful to your skin.
  8. Do not ignore skin disorders. Doing so can lead to permanent skin damage. Try over the counter medication, and if that doesn't help, book a visit with your dermatologist and seek his/her advice.
  9. Usage of Vitamin C based skincare products. These are trendy means of anti-aging skincare. However, these seem to oxidize very quickly, which makes them harmful for the skin. The solution to this is to store them properly. If the product turns yellowish-brown, it means that vitamin c has oxidized and the product is no longer suitable for use. 
  10. Protecting your skin against UV radiation. UV rays are known to speed up the aging process and damage your skin. Thus, having a good sunscreen lotion should be a part of your anti-aging skincare routine.
